Kasey & Mike {engaged!}

I just got back from spending a week in South Florida. The weather was gorgeous! Spring has definitely arrived in Florida. The bougainvillea plants were vibrant with color. It was so nice to spend time with family, my siblings, and friends. I had lots on my agenda: a wedding, an engagement sesh, and a family sesh. I love photographing events and this is one that our family is currently gushing over.
It is such a blessing to share my sister's engagement pics with you. Kasey got engaged to her long-time love Mike on her birthday back in January. They plan to wed next summer. They are both so smart and working diligently on their studies. Are they a beautiful couple or what! Kasey & Mike were so easy to photograph. We planned to visit a venue in Miami, but the day we scheduled for was overcast and rainy. So we squeezed this session in the day before I left. We drove around my parents' neighborhood, which has lots of foliage, stone & black iron architectural shapes.
My family is so excited about planning Kasey & Mike's wedding. All the details are coming together nicely so far. Thanks pinterest! Congratulations Kasey & Mike. I love you both!

Kaitlyn & Tyler (Engaged!)

I had the privilege of photographing this sweet couple last night. They met me at my place and we drove around the area stopping here and there around town. It was a little windy and cold, but we made it work. Kaitlyn & Tyler, being native to North Carolina, are no strangers to this weather. I have to admit though, I am a wimp when it comes to cold temperatures. Don't get me wrong, I love the change of seasons and the change in weather, but my heat is on when it's like 50 outside. And I wore a stocking cap to keep my head warm. It's probably time to retire my flip flops for the year, but I wore them anyway. Yeah!
Kaitlyn & Tyler are newly engaged and certainly in love. They were so sweet when I was posing them for the next shot, it's like they were reading my mind because they knew exactly what to do and just fell into place naturally. I love when sessions go that way. K & T were willing to go and do whatever I suggested. It was such a nice and easy going evening. Talking about family and the Holidays coming up made me so thankful we brought our family here. I am also thankful for this sweet couple. Hope y'all like the sneak peek. Have a great week!

Dharma & Scott {Engaged!}

Georgia. Memorial Weekend. Beautiful weather. Lovely Engagement Session.
Need I say more? Okay. I'll elaborate a bit more. Dharma & Scott are getting married in September. They are a precious couple who met at church through friends.
I first met Dharma in Bible Study at church. I remember her always smiling and being so easy to talk to. It is amazing the blessed changes God can arrange in a life in one year's time. A new location, new job, new church, and SMACK! ya bump into the person God created just for you. Happenstance? I think not. The Lord likes to plan things that are above and beyond our expectation, pleasant surprises included. Scott is such a gentleman. We had to travel short distances to the various spots for the shoot. Y'all, he opens and closes doors, he tenderly looks after Dharma, and the man is smart too. He graduated from Mercer and is now an engineer. Its alot more technical than that though. I'm a visual person, so when I heard Mercer and engineer my mind saw numbers and equations. I am so happy that I had this opportunity to capture this speical time for Dharma & Scott. Enjoy this time. See you both in September!

Brooke & Dan {Engaged}

Newly engaged, Brooke & Dan met me at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens for their shoot. A perfect place for portraits because of the landscaping and unique layout of the garden area. You'd miss the little nooks here and there if you decided to run through it. Careful observances allow for optimal shots at this location. The day couldn't have been better. Brooke was a tad nervous due to a storm lurking in the clouds a few miles out. The overcasted sky yielded some beautifully lit images. The storm was still coming though, and Brooke & Dan kept up like troopers. We'd stop take a couple frames then I'd command, "Great! Let's move!" LOL! It was a race to beat the rain...and we won! Brooke & Dan, thank you for allowing me to capture this time in your journey together. I can't wait until the wedding! Love to you both.

Hali & Brett {Engaged}

A beautiful Saturday afternoon for an engagement session! Meet Hali & Brett. What a sweet couple with some good chemistry...sigh! Brett is my friend Christelle's brother. Today was my first time meeting his lovely bride-to-be Hali. Their big day is in October, which is such a pretty time to get married. Hali & Brett had me cracking up. They mentioned that they practiced their photo posing before I arrived, but then they wouldn't show me their tush-to-tush pose. Well anyway, I hope you like what I came up with here. It was so fun photographing you guys. Best wishes to you for a blessed marriage and a Happily Ever After!

Christelle & Bruno {Engaged}

Christelle & Bruno with their furry family members :)

Christelle was my very best friend in grade school. I was so honored when she asked me to photograph her and Bruno for their engagement. Today, we met at her parents' house. When entering it brought back so many childhood memories with Christelle, like Girl Scouts, and gymnastics, and playing dress-up. It was so fun to reminisce.
Anway, this is about THEM! Christelle & Bruno met through a mutual friend and co-worker while out one night celebrating Christelle's birthday. They've been together ever since. They are quite the adventurers too; they've visited different countries and cities together including Bruno's native Brazil. I couldn't be happier for Christelle & Bruno. I cannot wait until the big day in April! Congratulations to both of you :)
Above, you'll see a few of my favorites from our session. Deciding which ones to post was very difficult because I love all of them. I hope you guys like the sneak peek. There is more to come, so I'll let you know when your gallery is up.
Thank you again for allowing me to capture this precious moment. May the Lord bless you & keep you. May His face shine upon you and your marriage.

Kaylen & Andrew are Engaged!

My little sister is ENGAGED! I met up with Kaylen & Andrew in Atlanta this weekend. The weather channel said we were in for a storm. Thankfully, the storm held off until after our photo shoot. Piedmont Park was a great place to take engagement pictures and this couple made the summer heat even hotter! We walked and took pictures all over the park while my other sister, Kendra followed and held my newborn. All of us had fun and laughed alot during our time together. Kaylen & Andrew, this time is so precious. Enjoy every minute. Hope you like the sneak peeks. Love you both!
Love & Blessings, Karrie
