Red III

Chocolate! Hershey's Kisses are the focus of today's Red photograph. Again, this photo was made with all natural light. I really like how the photograph is warm; it has some shadow and cool reflections from the distant window. The bowl is not completely in the center of the frame, which is good. Not all subjects have to be in the center. Sometimes that's boring. If I learned anything from my Art professors in college, it's that your subject doesn't have to be central. The subject can be off-center and still be interesting. I am so thankful for my education. Now that I am in the "real world" practicing my art, alot of what I learned in college is coming back. Maybe my professors weren't so crazy with their avante ideas after all. :)

Red II

Here's another RED photograph for those following. I love my red pumps and try to wear them whenever possible. I mix them with black, white, gray, purple, green, you name it!

I took this photograph in my bathroom using just window light; no flash. The reflective material of the shoes mixed with the window lighting intrigues me. Hope you like!

What's in a color?

This week's theme in my 365 Photography class from ILP is RED! I love the color red, so this will be fun. My goal is to be able to post a photograph at least a couple times a week so that I am staying consistent. Since I am just starting out and am in need of experience and practice, I thought that having the challenge to take my camera out everyday to snap shots would encourage my creative juices to flow. It is my desire to be innovative and unique.
I believe in the Lord's providence, His will and plan for my life. I trust that He is navigating my journey. This is a truth that I hold close to my heart. God has been so good to me and I want the world to know it! So where ever photography takes me, I know that it is part of God's will, His plan for me to grow and learn more about Him.
Thanks for stopping by...

It's a Lawrence Christmas!

I just love this family! I was invited to their house for a Christmas session and for some 6 month pictures of Baby Raegan. Having a family picture made in your own home with your own Christmas tree is so special. I am so delighted that I got to share this time with the Lawrence Family. We captured some Holiday photos first. Allen is absolute hoot...he's the one with the antler headband on with his youngest daughter :) And Raegan was such an angel for her 6 month pictures. I am so excited that I got to use my new photo prop ~ the tutu! (Raegan liked it as well. We shot a couple pics of her going to town on it with gums...poor dear; she's teething). Thanks so much Lawrence Family. Hope you like your sneak peek :) Blessings. In His Love, Karrie
