Monday is often thought of in a negative way. God knows that when I was in the workforce working 40 hours a week I used to dread Mondays as well. Now, as a stay-at-home mom and a football coaches wife I have viewed Mondays in a different light. The Lord has changed my heart toward Mondays. He has shown me that Monday is a gift just like any other day. A day to breathe, a day to explore and discover, a day to live!
This idea, "Motivation for Monday", has been on my heart for some time now. This is the last Monday of October 2010. We are moving into November, which prompts us to think about turkey, football, family gatherings, and of course Thanksgiving. I'd like to challenge you (and myself) to train your thoughts in a different way about Mondays. This will take some effort; make no mistake. But I promise it WILL be worth it!
Every Monday I will be posting a picture and a little motivational word, phrase, quote, or verse to get you pumped up about Monday. I will be counting my blessings. I hope you will consider participating as well. Your heart will change toward Mondays as mine did. I pray that this will bless you.
Happy Monday!
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
