Reese is 5!

Happy 5th Birthday Reese! This weekend was so beautiful at the river. The sun was shining. The wind was blowing. The kids were running around on the sand, splashing in the water, laughing with each other. Even the adults were found jumping off the pier with their kids hand in hand. The details of a little girl's Mermaid themed birthday party complete with a Barbie Mermaid cake...it was perfect. I had so much fun meeting friends and family of the White Family. What a great group of people. Hope you enjoy the highlights.

Long Time No Post!

Hey everybody! I haven't posted in a while. It has been crazy around here with football practice starting, making the new house our home, and keeping up with two very active boys...er, make that three very active boys. I have to count my hubby too :-}
So, the football team is looking great and coming together. Go Warriors! Our house is definitely feeling more like Home. And my boys are still very active, but I wouldn't change that for a minute. I love to watch the 3 of them outside digging in the dirt, running in the backyard, talking to each other, it makes a mama proud. They are actually doing just that while I sit here at the computer updating you and posting one of our recent pictures taken at Chowan University, my hubby's Alma Mater. It was very hot that day. We didn't last very long outside walking around campus. We found the bookstore/giftshop pretty quick to cool off and strategize our next move, which was to lunch at Andy's.
All in all, I've been enjoying our new home, surroundings, scenery. The view out here in the country by the river is amazing! God is good. He is definitely here. I am so confident that the Lord has a plan for our family and that it is good. We are all looking forward to what He has planned.

ROMANS 8:28~ And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Mini Beach Session

My husband & I went to the river the other day with boys to play in the sun and sand. It was a beautiful day. The Lord just blesses in amazing ways. I ended up shooting an impromtu beach session with this sweet little girl who will be celebrating her birthday next month {and her little sister}. Their mama was so nice and easy to talk to. The girls, as you will see, were just the cutest things. I am so thankful I met them; they just blessed my day.

We Three

Good Morning! I have an exciting new photo shoot to share with you. I travelled to Virginia yesterday to do a little collaboration project with 2 very talented ladies, Gloria and Emily. Emily is my sister-in-law's sister. She is a hair & make-up artist working in the Suffolk area. Emily is so lovely and has amazing ideas for versatile looks and an eye for fashion. My SIL, Jessica, introduced both of us to Gloria who is an accomplished jewelry designer. She has the most beautiful pieces that she has made with her own hands.
We three, Emily, Gloria, and I, thought it would be fun to do a photo shoot with some models. Emily was so kind to bring her friends to model for us. Gloria picked out some of her favorite pieces and you will see them here. Photographing these ladies was so much fun. The weather was not too hot with a few perfectly shaded areas outside.
Anyway, I am not much of a writer, but I love to share good God given talent. Please contact me if you are interested in getting your hair or make-up done by Emily OR if you are interested in ordering some jewelry from Gloria, OR if you'd like to be part of a fun themed photo shoot for another collaboration. Thank you for stopping by. Check back for more images from the shoot.

Double Shot {Senior Session}

Hey y'all. Yesterday marked my first session here in North Carolina. I scheduled a Senior Session with the sweet mama of twin Senior boys. We met and instantly hit it off with some great conversation. I enjoyed so much getting to know Hunter, Chance, and their sweet mama. We had fun together on the river. The weather and the temperature outside couldn't have been better for a July afternoon. The breeze was really kickin' when we first started the shoot. I kind of feel bad that I started them out at the cove because the tide was higher than normal, but I think it was a good ice breaker for both guys. Taking your shoes off to feel the warm sand and cool water is just so relaxing. They were such good sports about following me around and trying out my ideas. It wasn't long before they were thinking up of their own poses to display their individualities. It was a great shoot. Thank you so much for this opportunity. I enjoyed our session together, I hope you like your sneak peek.

North Carolina is Home!

This is the view from our deck. Beautiful! Everyone who knows me knows that purple is my favorite color and has been since I was a little girl. When we rode up to our new house for the first time I was overwhelmed by the beauty of God's creation. This is just a little reminder to me that God's plan is best. He knows what He is doing. He intimately knows those who love Him. I say this because timing is everything. Waiting for something to happen or waiting for a break through is tough. Patience is a hard characteristic to embrace and practice. If you are waiting on the Lord, your wait is never in vain. I can't stress that enough. We live amidst the farmland in North Carolina, surrounded by fields of various crops. Those who know about farming know that the crops rotate each season to keep the soil good and fertile. The crop in my backyard view could've been stalks of corn, tabacco, or peanuts. It wasn't though. It was this beautiful purple sage. This is what God planned for my welcome home. A beautiful view of purple sage. He knows me. He knows my favorite color is purple. I love that and I love Him! Be encouraged. Waiting on the Lord is worth it. He'll wow you and give you the desires of your heart when you seek Him.

Psalm 27:14 ~ Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
