Fashion Friday: Senior Lifestyle Session

Senior Lifestyle Session

The Senior Session!

'Tis the season for Senior Portrait Sessions. I love meeting rising Seniors during the summer. In my opinion, Summer & Fall are both really good times to start planning and schedule your Senior Session. So, what on earth do you have to plan???

1. Your Photographer: I highly encourage you to research the photographers in your area. Take a look at their portfolio. Does their style of photographing people and posing people jive with your style? It's really important to choose a photographer that will best represent you in pictures. After all, Senior Portraits are an investment.

2. Organize: That is, organize your ideas about what you want your Senior Session to look like. Make a list of ideal locations. Make a list of items that you want to bring that represent you (see #4). Talk about these things with your photographer too!

3. Go Shopping: You don't have to purchase anything new, but it is nice to don some new threads. Look through your closet and set a side a few things that you love. Look through your friend's closet (if you & your friends borrow each other's clothes). Don't forget the accessories.

4. Accessorize: jewelry, shoes, purse, musical instrument, poms, books, hats, or anything that represents you :)

5. Schedule: Summer & Fall are usually pretty busy for photographers and families alike. With family vacations in the summer, and Back to School shopping and starting school in the fall, it leaves little time for much else. Schedule your Senior Session as soon as you have a block of time available.

The Senior Session is all about you. Make sure to have fun. Your Senior year is a great time in your life, but it goes so fast!

Happy Friday!

Daniel {Senior Portraits}

Daniel is one of my husband's Senior Football players. I've had the pleasure of photographing him on and off the field. Daniel was a leader and a constant encourager for the team this season. I know my husband was very thankful to have his leadership and talent on the team this year.
When I asked Daniel what his plans were after high school, he answered without hesitation. He listed his aspirations and goals with ease and delight. I love seeing that delight for the future in a young mind. I can see Daniel accomplishing all of his goals and then some. God has a special plan for you Daniel, with Him all things are possible. Thank you for allowing me to take your Senior Portraits. I had so much fun hanging out with you and your sister.

Double Shot {Senior Session}

Hey y'all. Yesterday marked my first session here in North Carolina. I scheduled a Senior Session with the sweet mama of twin Senior boys. We met and instantly hit it off with some great conversation. I enjoyed so much getting to know Hunter, Chance, and their sweet mama. We had fun together on the river. The weather and the temperature outside couldn't have been better for a July afternoon. The breeze was really kickin' when we first started the shoot. I kind of feel bad that I started them out at the cove because the tide was higher than normal, but I think it was a good ice breaker for both guys. Taking your shoes off to feel the warm sand and cool water is just so relaxing. They were such good sports about following me around and trying out my ideas. It wasn't long before they were thinking up of their own poses to display their individualities. It was a great shoot. Thank you so much for this opportunity. I enjoyed our session together, I hope you like your sneak peek.
