My Little One Month Baby Boy

Little is actually a bit of a sentiment. I took John to the Dr for his one month check-up and he is anything BUT little. Doc says that John sizes up and acts more like a 2 month old than a 1 month old. When I shared this info. with my hubby, his response was, "That's my boy!". We are so proud. Well, here are a couple of photos I took of John a couple of days ago.

Kaylen & Andrew are Engaged!

My little sister is ENGAGED! I met up with Kaylen & Andrew in Atlanta this weekend. The weather channel said we were in for a storm. Thankfully, the storm held off until after our photo shoot. Piedmont Park was a great place to take engagement pictures and this couple made the summer heat even hotter! We walked and took pictures all over the park while my other sister, Kendra followed and held my newborn. All of us had fun and laughed alot during our time together. Kaylen & Andrew, this time is so precious. Enjoy every minute. Hope you like the sneak peeks. Love you both!

Karrie Drake Photography is moving to South Florida!

Hello All! I would like to take this time to pass along some exciting news. Karrie Drake Photography is moving to South Florida. Times and dates are yet to be determined. I will keep you all posted as the Lord reveals the next steps toward own journey toward Florida.

I never thought Beau & I would ever move back to Florida, but God has other plans. He made that very evident to us as we prayed and made this decision to move and begin our life as a family of 4 in South Florida. Please be in prayer for our family as we make arrangements to sell our house and go through this transition.

I am so very sad to say farewell to friends that I've met through church and through the beginnings of my photography business. Missing you already, but know that our door is open to visit. We are thrilled about what God has in store for us...and one of the great things about South Florida, there isn't just one beach :) I'm looking forward to exploring my new grounds for some awesome future photography sessions. Not to mention, getting back my sweet tan!

Hello All! I would like to introduce my new little man, John Conlan. He is the most precious baby boy. We feel so blessed to have him here, healthy and beautiful. God is so good! There are many changes and new adventures on the horizon for the Drake Family. I will keep you all posted. All I can say right now is that when you allow God control of your life, He certainly doesn't disappoint. Your life will be full and the ride will be thrilling. He wants to bless us abundantly; the Lord loves to see His children happy & thriving.

Happy 3rd Birthday Julian!!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to Julian! Happy Birthday to you! Well, today was Julian's 3rd birthday party. What a beautiful sunny day with good friends, pizza, cake, and lots of little ones running to and fro. We had such a blast. It took no time to put Julian down for a nap afterwards :) Julian, we love you so much! Mama and Dada are so proud of you. You are a beautiful child of God. We are so honored to call you our son. You are a reward from the Lord. We are looking forward to what God has in store for your future; we know He will bless you.

Props 4 Me!!!

Today was a great day, my first official day of Maternity Leave from work. After dropping Julian off at MMO, I was able to get some errands crossed off my list. During my errand running, I stopped by Marshall's. Can I just say...I Love That Store! Marshall's sells close to everything you need from clothes, shoes, linens, books/stationery, home-decor, fragrances. Anyway, before I become a walking billboard, let me get back to the great finds. I have been looking for a new basket/photo prop for newborn and baby pictures and found this amazing round basket. I cannot wait to use it. I also found this cute little kindergarten stool on clearance! (Just in time for Julian's 3rd Birthday shoot) Hopefully he will smile for mommy and not run away giggling like he usually does. We will certainly try. The new blue textured yarn is from Michael's. I plan to knit a new eggie and cocoon for my new baby boy to model in his newborn pics. The littlest things amuse me:) Until next time...

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all!
Here we are...the three of us, soon to be four! Our new addition is due in about 4 weeks. I will be taking a maternity leave from photography the month of May, unless we have already made arrangements for a session at my home. I want to eat up all my time with my boys and enjoy this new little man that God has blessed us with. Of course, I will be announcing his name and posting pictures on the blog after we get home from the hospital. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.
